• I really really wish it could have been longer or a part 4. I just felt like the characters had more to say (like I wrote the book 😂😂). With that being said I enjoyed this read and was happy that Justice was able to accept Jr and be with Zahir after everything was said and done. I am curious to know what happened with Stacey 🤔. Lola and Reid getting married was so unexpected but cute. Blaque and Bianca together makes me happy and I know they'll make some cute chocolate babies. Goodread Misha waiting for the next series

• Lola, Bianca and Justice experienced some unexpected changes. Zahir, Reid and Blaque dealt with life altering decisions as well. This book was about growth for everyone. Even Karen had her moment of clarity. Everything happens for a reason.
• Great ending to a great series. Enjoyed this series from the first book to the very end. So glad that everyone got their happy ending. Highly recommend this series and job well done Mishap.
• This last chapter took me through so many emotions. I’m happy everyone was able to find happiness. They all had been through so much individually. They all deserved a happy ending.

• Don’t know why people are putting one star because the book came damaged. These reviews are supposed to be about the book itself and let me tell you it is a masterpiece! I have fully delved into logic’s mind and I’m only halfway through. He is such a talented artist. Highly recommend this book to anyone! Fair warning, there is cussing if any children want to read it.
• Wow. This book is BAD.
  It might be one of the worst novels I’ve ever read.
  
  I was browsing through the bookstore looking to pick up a few new reads and grabbed this one. Sounded interesting. I have no clue who Logic is so I picked this one based solely on the synopsis written on the back of the book.
  
  I read the whole book pretty quickly, so it is an “easy read” and the issue isn’t necessarily with the basic idea behind the book, the issue is that the writing is HORRIBLE. It reads as though a 6th grader wrote it. I was cringing at almost every line throughout the entire book. I’d love to leave some examples but I’d have to just copy and paste the entire book here. Just trust me- it’s bad to the point of being embarrassing. I’m no literary snob either, I’ve read a LOT of books in my life and can appreciate a book that is easy to read (I prefer them!) but this is just ridiculous.
  
  The characters have no depth. You don’t care about or relate to any of them because all you know about them is they are “hot” or “sweet” or a “kind of dumb-looking like a bimbo who gets by on her looks- but she was intelligent. Just naive-seeming”. Yes, that’s an actual description from this book.
  
  And can someone who’s finished this please explain to me if we are supposed to have the “twist” to this train wreck figured out immediately?! Because this was all very predictable and it was almost laughable reading the author attempting to “hint” the twist.
  
  When I finished this and checked and see hundreds and hundreds of 5 star reviews the only thing I can assume is they are fans of his? I mean, I know everyone can have an opinion of a story but this book is just so terribly written that it doesn’t matter what the hell the story is. The writing is bad, and I don’t think that’s an opinion, it’s a fact!
  
  At least when you get to the acknowledgements it all does make a little more sense. The author basically says he never read a novel in his life, then “binge-read novels for a week” in his 20s and decided “I’m gonna write a book!”.
  Thank god for him he’s famous enough now for people to pacify whatever he randomly decides to do because that’s the only way this garbage would be published.
  
  P.s. I’ve ready hundreds of books and never in my life written a review of one.
  This was that bad.
• A few chapters in and it's amazing. I love Logic, but typically when artists start branching out the quality drops too so I wasn't expecting too much. With Supermarket I was really blown away with how well written it is and how drawn in I am. 5/5 MUST BUY
• Absolulty love it! I’m a die hard logic fan since close to day one, but I’ve been trying to read it without think about logic so I can have a real opinion, and I gotta say, I’m on chapter 9 and I love it. I hope Bobby keeps writing books, maybe a incredibly true story book!? 😂

I guarantee you it, he has no control over that it probably wasn’t shipped properly or without bubble wrap, I’m not sure since I got the Audiobook, I just think he deserves a break these things Happen, He was signing books inside of book stores, and saying go grab them while they are there. That’s crazy. While I understand your frustration that your book came damaged, these things Happen with shipping from time to time. Supermarket is a great book and I enjoyed it, I recommend this product

• This book provides the best synthesis to date of (a) empirical findings from psychology and (b) user-centered design-thinking for products based on information technology. Content-wise this book gets it right. However, there is one stylistic issue that detracts from its strengths. The author explains that he wanted to write the as if the content is being stated by 'we', the population of potential users, to a target reader conceived as a product designer or manager who most needs to be enlightened by this information. But this technique fails in practice, causing more awkwardness and confusion than clarity. The problem is that the author is describing complex concepts and findings from scientific research in psychology, with a highly technical, sophisticated vocabulary. It therefore fails any sense of fittingness or plausibility that 'we' the mass of all users would have — or even care about — such specialized knowledge that is needed by designers, but not by us as users. It also makes the author sound like an inauthentic politician, or a kind of aspiring bureaucratic 'expert' who believes his specialized knowledge authorizes him to speak for mass populations. But the bottom line is, as noted above, that the content is excellent, and the author has provided great value to designers with it.
• As a recent college graduate with a BS in Psychology and a minor and Computer Science, I can say that this book brought a lot of real-world insight to how we can apply simple psychological concepts in the design everyday products to make our daily use of applications, websites, and overall technology a productive and intuitive addition to our lives rather than a burden or something inefficient one has to struggle through to get the end result.
  
  If you are debating getting this book, just do it! The amount of insight in Bottlenecks is immeasurable. The structure and language is extremely easy to absorb as David (author) covers dense psychological and design principles. The way he applies one to the other and shows the reader through examples we have lived through or struggled with really allows the concepts to sync with readers more easily than other similar books.
  
  The perspective this book has is unique but very important. I found the content immensely invaluable - I have been and will continue to share what I've learned in Bottlenecks with peers, family, and those in my workspace.
  
  Thank you, David, for creating an easily digestible book with such important content!
• This is THE go-to reference for anyone whose task is visual or electronic communication. David Evans has specifically created a resource targeting the host of professionals whose task is to convey memes (i.e., any “idea, . . .invention, [or]. . .particle of culture”) into public awareness; and not only to convey them but also to ensure reception of those memes, and foster their retention in memory and integration in the viewer’s behavior. In other words, bloggers, webmasters, marketing personnel, game creators, trainers, PR personnel, software developers, filmmakers, entertainers and a host of other specialists. I would add that anyone whose job involves education would be well-served by this resource. If you need to adopt the most effective, most powerful principles to convey your message, Dr. Evans has produced an encyclopedic compendium of the most critical research from the fields of perception, psychology, neuroscience, optics, motivation, attention, communication theory, computer sciences, and a good deal more.
  Despite the rather dry and academic sound of the foregoing description, Evans’ has produced a lively and highly readable work. He clearly has taken his own best advice in the design and execution of this resource. Adopting a “voice” of the end user, Evans leads the reader through a clinic of what to do and what not to do, with real-world examples. The result is both a road map of how to create the most effective and lasting communications and a reference manual for specific “bottlenecks” (his term for the things that impede viewer acquisition of memes).
  It is clear that Dr. Evans not only knows the talk, he has “walked the walk” in the trenches of industry, education, product development and marketing. He distills highly technical information into readily understandable and practical tools that have direct application. As a psychologist and educator, I am enormously impressed by this very welcome resource. It occupies a ready-access place in my own professional library.

• As a UX Research professional with a background in marketing research and social science, I truly appreciate this book. Using a unique voice, the author is able to balance complex academic/scientific concepts with practical business/real-world examples. One of my favorite takeaways is a gentle reminder that the human mind has particular psychological limitations (as described so well in the book) that should be more widely considered when designing interactive digital experiences. The author does a great job of expressing to product managers, developers, researchers and designers what end-users can't necessarily articulate in usability studies or surveys... That the success of a product or service experience can be greatly increased by having a deeper understanding of the natural psychological shortcomings of users while on their journey - and reducing associated pitfalls along the way. This book gives you that deeper understanding, and thus, helps you become a more human-centered designer.
• I have been scouring the internet for resources on user onboarding best practices and I came across this book. I have since carried it around with me where ever I go! Each chapter is very focused on a specific topic with enough information to get your brain going on how you might test the theories on your own products. A fun read even with deep topics like Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and Erik Erikson's Life Questions. Highly recommend this for anyone hoping to design products that will bring value to people's lives!

• I thought this waa written by Oprah. Its not. The introduction, the epilogue, 1st listing in each chapter, and.several quotes are from her but 99% are from other people. Not what I thought it would be. Its not stories but quotes. Im disappointed.
• Bought this on kindle and was disappointed to see how little content there is in this book. It's only about 200 pages and half of them are just pictures of flowers. Was hoping for more insight from Oprah but it's just a selection of short quotes from people. Maybe nice for a gift but not actually a useful book.
• The help that comes when you're seeking guidance on how to move forward in your calling is amazing. This book came out on a day where the resistance I was feeling within myself felt overwhelming.
  
  It was as though I was pushing the break and gas pedal of my life at the same time and with the same level of pressure and passion. I wanted to move forward, but I also wanted to stop.
  
  Only an hour into this book and one question after the other, one fervent prayer after the other, so many answered. I bought both the audiobook and kindle version so I could listen and study the words of these wise leaders. I encourage you to do the same as there's not only soul knowledge within these pages, but hope.

• The title really drew me in - I was ready and excited to clear the path on my journey. I adore Oprah, she’s terrific and I was really ready to dig in to her wonderful new book. However, I was surprisingly disappointed and agree with others that the title is misleading and there is not much content - pretty pictures though. It might be a good ‘coffee table’ book, or as another reviewer said “a nice house warming gift” but it definitely did not deliver what I was expecting from Oprah.
• So if you are looking for concrete direction in figuring out your life, this is not the book for you. I enjoyed the book but it is basically a book of motivational quotes and pretty pictures. It would make a nice "housewarming" gift but it's definitely not what the title leads one to think.
• everything that oprah says touches my heart. i cant get enough of her and her podcast and shows.
  
  these pages include colorful quotes and short stories from every insightful creative spiritual teacher around. all in one book. it really is a magical book.
  
  i think everyone needs it in their lives. to go to when you need it. you can just flip to any page and see what you need to read and know for the day.
• I am so happy with my purchase! The pages are filled with quotes from many people whom have influenced Oprah in a teachable aspect. As well as her own discovery to her purpose in life. I haven't finished it yet but it is a quick read. I can see myself going back to this book when in need of inspirational words.
• I, too, just purchased the book. I ordered it because it was Oprah. Then reading the comment that all proceeds were going to her hometown ... that did it. "Reaching back" "Paying forward" and all those other servant leadership qualities!!
  Correction Worldwide role model!!!

• I discovered Jeff Wheeler through his Kingfountain series, and I suggest starting there first. If I had read the Muirwood series first I don't know if I would have continued. Don't get me wrong, I really like the first two books of this series (The first being The Wretched of Muirwood). But I think Jeff's storytelling has improved over time. The Kingfountain series and Muirwood are not related in any way other than style, but Kingfountain is better written in my opinion.
  
  I read Wretched of Muirwood and was lukewarm about continuing. But I needed a book to listen to while I am in the kitchen, and the deal with being able to listen to this book for free with Audible when you are a Unlimited subscriber is just terrific. So I gave it a try and was pleasantly pleased.
  
  PROS The main characters are very likable. They are noble and just and all the things a hero should be. The main female character is strong and determined. The descriptions are lovely, and taken from various beautiful areas of the USA (Redwood forest in particular). I like the magic and the "learner" concept. The story is easy to listen to both in narration (the narrator in the Audible book is terrific) and in overall feeling and tone. It's a good bedtime read - nothing to awful to give you nightmares or set your heart racing.
  
  CONS There is a religious subtext that you have to get over or be okay with. I am not religious, but do have an idea of spirituality. The idea of the "medium" is not unlike the Christian "holy spirit" or Chinese "qi (chi)" or Star Wars' The Force, for that matter, or other life force/spiritual energy ideas. I enjoy the idea of this, and it actually makes the book more fantasy than religious. But there are some cringe-worthy moments where the LDS (Mormon) teachings come through, like the idea that "the scholars won't be able to concentrate because of the mere presence of a young woman at the abbey in a very low cut dress". [insert eye rolling here]. There are other ideas about how men can be fools for women that are uncomfortably truer than most want to admit. And 15 year old girls talking about marriage with 18-19 year old men is a little uncomfortable in modern times, although truly not unusual in medieval times.
  
  The ending for me was so predictable. So predictable that you are like "how can these "scholars" not figure this out?". Although the reason for that may be explained in the 3rd book.
  
  All in all I do recommend this series if you like clean fantasy with likable characters.
• Jeff Wheeler has made an impressive launch into the self publish world. So many authors aspire to the kind of readership he is now enjoying and I can't help but admire that. More importantly, he's a great writer. I hope to see much more of his work in the future and hope he gets the recognition he so richly deserves.
  
  Here's why
  He's a great storyteller. Muirwood is a narrow scope story sticking primarily to a single point of view. As he matures, I hope to see breadth and depth in more of his characters as he develops a more complex storyline. Regardless, he is a first rate storyteller!
  He draws you into the character's emotions. Despite the foreshadowing, I still root for Lia at every turn. I know she will prevail, but I bite my nails in anticipation of her next move every time!
  He describes things like a girl (and I mean that as the highest possible compliment). There's a reason female authors garner such an amazing following and I believe a great deal of that can be attributed to their ability to describe settings, scenarios and emotions well. Jeff is every bit as good as a female author at this aspect of his writing.
  Every chapter, every book, leaves you wanting more...desperately! I purchase very few books in a rush, and especially not in the same night as I finish one. Jeff Wheeler has become an exception to that rule. I read all of the Muirwood books in 2 days. While I read in excess of 200 books a year, I seldom go from one to the next in a series without jumping genres or authors in between. I often read several books simultaneously and for Mr. Wheeler's books I set aside other books.
  What he's done and created is unique in a world filled with copycats. I appreciate the originality in the Muirwood series. While I see potential influences in his writing, I feel like the conceptual magic and style is something fresh and new. Can't wait to see this expanded as I have a feeling he has dozens of other ideas bouncing around in his head!
  
  These books deserve a five star rating, but I see a room for growth. When I put these next to others in the genre, I still have a few stand out all time favorites and there is a separation in the storytelling. The intangibles are intangible for a reason, but I feel like Mr. Wheeler is on the cusp of having those intangibles. I give out very few five star ratings for books, but I'm certain the next series I read will have a five star rating. Keep going Mr. Wheeler!
• This review applies also to the first three books of the Kingsfountain series. Both series are fantasies where serious Evil threatens; and where some humans can connect to a source of power to help defeat the Evil, at least for now. His humans are... human. That is, they are like the people in and around my life. I found myself immersed in the books.
  
  It is a truth universally acknowledged that fantasy authors range from excellent to awful. Mr. Wheeler is up there with Raymond Chandler he grabs you right in to the plot, and doesn't bludgeon you with a lot of excess verbiage. He uses just enough words to get the job done. I was drawn in by the people, the stories, the descriptions of woods and houses, and more. The stories are gripping;* The Blight of Muirwood finally fell out of my sleepy hands this morning at around 6 am. Good thing I'm retired! (And a good thing the didn't fall off my bed!)
  
  Jeff Wheeler is, I think, a very good author heading for greatness. Now 'scuse me while I go buy some more of his books!
